About this conference
Make your voice heard at the 2021 APTA Legislative Conference & Fly-In, May 18-19. This virtual conference educates members on important federal legislation and policy initiatives and gives members the opportunity to shape the industry’s positions and federal advocacy agenda.
The two-day event will include a day of virtual sessions, followed by a virtual fly-in day. The fly-in is an opportunity for you to help APTA advocate for passage of The American Jobs Plan and a robust Surface Transportation Authorization bill.
Who should attend: CEOs, board members, government affairs and communications professionals, transit operators, consultants, manufacturers and suppliers, local coalition members, and state association leaders.
Tuesday, May 18, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EDT – Sessions
We have an exciting program planned starting with a fireside chat with U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, followed by an update from the Federal Transit Administration, led by Deputy Administrator Nuria Fernandez. We’ll also hear from several members of congress on infrastructure and Fast Act authorization. Plus, we will convene a distinguished panel on opportunities to address race and equity through infrastructure investment, and a roundtable with congressional staffers. Finally, we’ll close out the day with a conference debrief. Learn more by viewing the Conference Program.

The Virtual Fly-In will allow you to connect with congressional offices in the safety and comfort of your home. Your advocacy to Capitol Hill is needed to ensure our success. The fly-in is open to all APTA members, however priority will be given to conference attendees.
Virtual Fly-In registration is now closed.
